Hemming

Hemming involves folding the edge of a metal section back onto itself. It is a grueling test of coating adhesion. If the galvanizing process was performed correctly, the metallurgical bond between the zinc and steel is so strong that even a tight 180 degree hem will not cause the coating to delaminate or peel away.
