ZAM is the next generation of corrosion protection. Traditional galvanizing uses pure zinc, ZAM adds aluminum and magnesium to the mix. This creates a highly stable, "self-healing" protective layer.
When a ZAM-coated tube is cut or scratched, the aluminum and magnesium react with the air to form a dense, sacrificial film that "creeps" over the exposed edge to prevent rust. In industries, where tubes must survive in harsh deserts or coastal salt air, ZAM is replacing traditional hot-dip galvanizing.
